Due to survival instincts developed as preys, birds often hide their illnesses. In the wild, sick birds are easy targets for predators and while our pet birds are not in danger of predators, they keep these survival instincts and hide signs of being sick until they become too weak and at the point when the sickness becomes obvious, it is often too late. As bird owners, we should be aware of these instincts and be on the lookout for the following signs:
